On The Day
Whether you are an experienced marksman or an aspiring novice, join one of our Charity Shoots for an exciting day of shooting. North Wales Simulated Game, who run the shoot, will ensure that the drives are interesting and challenging.
What you need
Don’t forget to bring:
- Eye protection
- Ear protection
- Head protection (flat cap is fine)
- Shotgun(s)
- Cartridges
- Shooting attire or appropriate clothing for the day
- Shotgun license (if you possess one – at least one person on your team needs to have one)
- Insurance certificate (if you possess one)
IMPORTANT - Fibre wad cartridges only
Cartridges will be available to buy on the day but if you want to bring your own they MUST be fibre wad only.
Itinerary
9.30am Arrive for refreshments – tea, coffee and sausage baps
9.45am Team Registration (scorecards will be handed out and team photos taken)
10.15am Safety briefing and introduction of the day
10.30am Shoot with simulated high birds, low birds and ground game including Competition Stand
2.30pm Hand in scores / drinks on terrace whilst all competitors finish
3.30pm Charity Auction (Part 1)
4.00pm 3 course set menu
5.30pm Charity Auction (Part 2)
6.30pm Prize giving and competition awards
7.00pm Home or extended drinks

What do I do if I would like to come along but can’t get a team of four together?
Don’t worry, you are still very welcome. Just let us know when you book and we will find a team for you to join.
Do I need a shotgun licence to participate?
One member of your team needs to hold a licence, but it isn’t necessary for you all to.
Do I need to own a shotgun to participate?
No. Don’t worry if you don’t have your own shotgun, you are still very welcome. Just let us know when you book and we will help you arrange to borrow a licensed shotgun for the day.
Do I need to have previous shooting experience?
Previous experience is not necessary as North Wales Simulated Game will provide full instructions.
Is it safe?
There is always an element of risk when you are handling firearms. However, North Wales Simulated Game will carry out full risk assessments and will ensure all participants are aware of the health and safety implications.
Can I get to the venue by public transport?

Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Please just let us know your dietary requirements and we will do our best to meet them.
What happens if the weather is bad?
As long as it is safe to do so, we will continue whatever the weather, so it is important that you dress accordingly with the appropriate footwear and outerwear particularly.
