Venue: Bodnant Welsh Food, Furnace Farm, Tal-y-cafn, Conwy

Bodnant Welsh Food is located in the stunning surroundings of the Conwy Valley. Originally built in the 18th century, the former farm house buildings have been lovingly restored to provide Wales’ centre of excellence for Welsh food.

Furnace Farm

Home to passionate producers and fanatical foodies, Bodnant Welsh Food houses a Farm Shop, Wine Cellar, Cookery School, five star Furnace Farmhouse accommodation, as well as the Furnace Tearoom and Hayloft Restaurant.

It is also home to the National Beekeeping Centre for Wales (NBCW).

Farm Shop

The Furnace Farm Shop showcases the very best artisan food that Wales has to offer, from both local producers and in house, from the bakery, butchery and deli counter. The Bodnant Dairy produces its own handmade salted butter, quality ice cream, as well as a growing selection of award-winning cheese.

All meat at the butchery counter is sourced locally; in season you’ll find salt marsh lamb from Porthmadog and dry-aged Conwy Valley black beef. Sausages come in a variety of flavours, and are produced onsite.

Three quarters of the products you’ll find in the farm shop are Welsh, with more than half being sourced from North Wales itself.

Cookery School

Bodnant’s state of the art cookery school offers the chance to learn hands-on culinary skills with guidance from some of the country’s leading culinary talents and award-winning chefs.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, keen amateur cook, or enthusiastic foodie – the cookery school offers courses to suit all abilities covering a wide range of multi-cultural cuisines.

Students and visitors are able to book overnight accommodation in one of the beautifully appointed rooms at the onsite five star Furnace Farmhouse.

A full Welsh breakfast is included for all guests, and special packages are available for those who want to combine their stay with a cookery course.

Hayloft Restaurant and tea-rooms

The beautifully converted Hayloft Restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere combined with dreamy mountain views and a superb menu of locally sourced produce.

Each dish is freshly prepared using seasonal Welsh ingredients, sourced in-house from the dairy, butchery and bakery.

The Furnace Tearoom offers lighter alternatives; including homemade snacks and soups, Welsh Afternoon Tea, and a daily selection of homemade cakes and pastries.

The ingredients on the Tearoom and Restaurant menu are available to purchase in the farm shop, so you can recreate the ‘taste of Wales’ in your own home.
